Season of Giving: Investing in Teachers

We continue our Week of Giving ideas with a practical way to make a difference. We have dreamed with our Guatemalan partners of one day hosting a retreat for our teachers and staff of Casita Adonai and with your help, this dream will become a reality in January. These men and women serve kids and parents daily and are deserving of time away where they can learn valuable skills and get new ideas for the work that they do. In addition, our prayer is that God will use this time to create unity and remind them of His love for and His power to equip them. The cost for each teacher or staff is $100 and you can donate any amount here There are still a few spaces if you would like to join us. Learn more here

Raising a Promise T-Shirts are a Hit!

Are you looking for a unique gift that will actually make a difference? We have a lot of great options for you! Every day this week we will highlight a way that you can invest in others while giving gifts. Today we are talking about our Raising a Promise T-shirts.  At $20 for short sleeve and $25 for long sleeve, these are a great deal!  Profit from the sell of these shirts will go directly to our Raising a Promise campaign to construct the third and final floor of the Building of Promise in Guatemala.  Completion of this project will allow us to offer middle school grades as well as provide a playground area & sport court and areas for planting and science projects.  4 additional classrooms will be added and this project will be complete! Cameron has been selling the shirts at his high school and they are a hit!  The photos below show how great they look on teens and young adults but any age would love them. You can order on our website and have them shipped, or cont

We have a fantastic retreat planned for our teachers in Guatemala next January.  We realize it's a difficult time for teachers in the states to go on a mission trip, but it's the perfect time for our teachers in Guatemala. We will travel to Guatemala on Wednesday, January 25, spend the day in the classroom with students and teachers on Thursday, and then take them on a retreat Friday - Sunday.  We will return home Monday, January 30. It's a short trip but sure to make a huge impact! If you are interested please contact us asap.  (lisaholbrook@carolinespromise.net or 336-669-7340). Trip cost is $600 plus airfare. Application and $100 non refundable deposit due by December 1.

$40 can send a teen to camp

Words can't express how proud we are of the youth from Adonai Church in Guatemala City.  They have worked hard to develop a discipleship and outreach program that is amazing!  In addition, they have been raising funds to attend their high school aged camp November 25-27.  They began months ago by creating banks and teaching on the importance of saving.  From there they hosted a ton of fundraisers and have been able to raise the funds for their youth group to attend camp. Now they need our help!  They would love for 25 of the older teens from their Gerona church plant to attend camp as well.  The cost is $40 per teen and we're looking for a total of $1000. If you would like to partner with the Adonai Youth and support a teen from Gerona, please follow this link.  Thank you for helping us celebrate the Adonai Youth and their hard work, while making a way for the teens in Gerona to attend camp.
