Making A Difference Through Volunteering

The end of Summer is a great time to evaluate the activities you are involved in and the impact they are making on others. We all go through seasons of volunteerism. If you're looking for a ministry to invest in that is making a difference in the lives of orphans, we invite you to check out these opportunities. Volunteers are the heartbeat of Caroline's Promise and we are always in need committed volunteers. We've developed Promise Groups for each area of ministry. These teams will meet at least once a quarter. Contact us for more information at Info@CarolinesPromise.Net

Church Liaisons
Are you passionate about orphans? One of the easiest ways you can support Caroline’s Promise is by serving as a liaison to your church. Liaisons serve as a bridge between the ministry and their church. We want to help your church minister to orphans. If you’re interested in serving, contact us.

Guatemala
This Promise Group will make decisions regarding our Guatemala projects and how best to promote them. If you have a heart for Guatemala this group is for you!

Guyana
Are you passionate about our work in Guyana or do you have a heart for our Country Coordinator, Angie Hemric? We need your help to determine the best ways to partner with the Guyanese Church and support the work in Plastic City

Parties with a Purpose
We're looking for a team that will conduct our parties and determine which community events we should participate in. You'll also choose the products that we should purchase and help us promote this fun way to raise support for our orphan projects

Fundraising
We're in desperate need of people who like to raise money! If this is your strength we need you!

Microloan
We're looking for a team that is excited about creating a microloan program for our partners in Guatemala and Guyana. If you're passionate about equipping people so that they can end the cycle of poverty, this Promise Group is for you!

Education - Teacher Training
Our short term teams have done a great job, educating teachers in Guatemala. We'd like to expand this to our other projects. If you are a teacher or homeschool parent and are passionate about training teachers, we need your help!

Mission team member's "idea" + Facebook Fundraiser = Jobs in San Nicolas

Our last team to Guatemala was in November of 2019.  That seems impossible but it's true.   The primary focus of the team was a pediatric medical clinic that was hugely successful.  However, that wasn't the only seed that was planted that week in the community of San Nicolas.   Wanda King has been going to Guatemala with Caroline's Promise for years.  We can always count on her to bring hand sanitizer, goodie bags that she and her sister make for everyone, and lots of love!  One of the things I love most about Wanda is that she is willing to step in and do anything that is asked of her.  A few weeks before this trip she asked if she could bring a set of hair cutting supplies.  I didn't know if there was a need, but I knew that Wanda felt strongly that she should bring them and so I said "of course!"  Little did we know the impact that one idea would make.   Wanda spent most of that week teaching our partner, Monica how to cut hair.  We quickly realized that
