We Can't Do This Without You

We’ll never be able to do this.
Without YOU!
God has given us a monumental vision and goal to raise $80,000 to help construct a new building for Casita Adonai in Guatemala City.   We’re answering His challenge with a fundraising campaign called “Hope Grows”.  The task ahead of us is HUGE!  But! We know that with Christ, all things are possible.  And, the Lord is already showing us that He provides where He guides
.
In the past week some exciting developments have taken place!  The Church in Guatemala City has committed to join us in raising the funds.  In fact, the ladies in our new Sewing Ministry each donated $40 to the campaign!  This is amazing considering these ladies do not have jobs and if they did, they would probably earn less than $2 a day!  It reminds us of the Scripture in 2 Corinthians, where Paul tells the church in Corinth how generous the suffering church in Macedeonia had been with their offerings, saying, “In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own...” (2 Corinthians 8:2-3)
We were also very excited to learn that Summit Church in Kernersville, NC is having their kids fill Caroline's Promise banks for the month of November.  They average 350 kids and each bank holds approximately $85.00.  If each kid fills their bank this will be close to $30,000! That will leave us with only $50,000 to raise and then we can begin construction!
Now, this is where you come in.  We are looking for 50 people or groups of people that will commit to raise $1000 each by December 2.  Will you join us?  We’ve provided a list of creative and easy ways to raise $1000.  You can join this team by emailing us at LisaHolbrook@CarolinesPromise.Net or joining the Hope Grows Guatemala Facebook Page.  We hope to encourage one another and pray through this Facebook Group, so join today and share how you are going to raise $1000.
Thank you, in advance, for helping to Grow Hope for the kids at Casita Adonai!

Medical need for Rodrigo's Family

Where are they now? Sthefany

Hello, my name is Sthefany.   I am 16 years old and am currently in the 4th year of high school in Biological Sciences.  First of all I want to thank the Groves Family who sponsored me during my primary school period because thanks to them I was able to complete primary school.  I am also very grateful because although I did not meet my sponsors, I appreciated them very much for the support and help they contributed in my life.   It was a great blessing that Caroline's Promise can contribute great things in the life of a person.  The experience I had was totally great. I got to know places thanks to them and they also showed me their love through letters (letters that I still have), gifts and financial aid. I would really like to meet and know how my sponsors are and meet them in person and thank them personally.   And well, I think that these kinds of experiences make you grow as a person in all aspects and how wonderful that those kinds of people exist, s...

Mission team member's "idea" + Facebook Fundraiser = Jobs in San Nicolas

Our last team to Guatemala was in November of 2019.  That seems impossible but it's true.   The primary focus of the team was a pediatric medical clinic that was hugely successful.  However, that wasn't the only seed that was planted that week in the community of San Nicolas.   Wanda King has been going to Guatemala with Caroline's Promise for years.  We can always count on her to bring hand sanitizer, goodie bags that she and her sister make for everyone, and lots of love!  One of the things I love most about Wanda is that she is willing to step in and do anything that is asked of her.  A few weeks before this trip she asked if she could bring a set of hair cutting supplies.  I didn't know if there was a need, but I knew that Wanda felt strongly that she should bring them and so I said "of course!"  Little did we know the impact that one idea would make.   Wanda spent most of that week teaching our partner, Monica how to cut...
