Looking for a great Mother's Day Gift?

I don't know about you but each year it seems to get harder and harder to choose a meaningful Mother's Day gift for the women that I love.  We want to help you out this year by giving you an opportunity to honor your mom while helping a woman in Guatemala.   Our Threads of Promise sewing project in Guatemala City enables women to learn the skill of sewing while also earning their own machine.  This program, which lasts for 3 months has been a blessing to so many of our mamas!  Not only are they learning a skill that will help them provide for their families, but they are learning about Jesus and connecting with women in the church.  Since the beginning of the program we have seen many mamas come to know Jesus and actually get involved in the church and the school.  The friendships that develop in each class are long lasting and we are thrilled with the ways that these women and their families are changing because of Threads of Promise. Our next class of 6 ladies will gradu

We Need Your Help!

Our Guatemala teams are gearing up for five weeks of ministry this summer and we need your help!  We are collecting the following items to use in Guatemala: basketballs, dodge balls, soccer balls, American footballs and pumps, as well as mesh bags to carry the balls. We also need Rainbow looms and the rubber bands that go with them. All of these items can be new or gently used.  If you would like to help us out please contact us for drop off location and times. We need all items by May 17th . Thanks for partnering with us in this way!

Supporting Our Teachers At Casita Adonai

Our teachers are a vital part of the foundation of all that we do at Casita Adonai.  Because of the location  and the financial needs of the parents who send their kids to Casita, tuition is very low.  This is great for the children who are able to receive a quality Christian education in a safe, loving, environment.  However, low tuition leads to low teacher pay.    The average teacher in Guatemala City makes $330 a month while our teachers are only making $131.   To give you an idea of how this translates - one of our teachers who is a single mom of 2 children pays $130 per month for rent of her small apartment. We have prayed about how we can help increase their salaries and are excited to offer a teacher Sponsorship Program.  For $35 a month you can support one of our teachers or staff and truly make a difference for them.  We believe that your prayers, love, letters and small gifts throughout the year will encourage them and remind them just how much

Final Thoughts From Our Interns

I can't believe how fast these past two months have gone by. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to minister and intern in Guatemala. Grace and I were able to teach English, computer, and drama classes to the children of Casita Adonia. We immediately began to love the people and the culture of Guatemala right from the start. We were also so blessed to have been able to stay with an amazing family who poured into us daily with love and kindness. This family has such a powerful and awesome vision for the people of Guatemala and such a huge heart for God! We were given so many opportunities to share God's love with all of the people. Not only did we minister to them, but they all completely touched and changed my life forever. Even though some of them may have very little in the way of material things,  they are the most caring, selfless, and happy people. They trust God to handle their difficult situations. Seeing this made me realize that I should never take
