Threads of Promise Begins in the Community of Gerona!
Many of you know about our life changing Threads of Promise sewing ministry. For the past few years, women in the church and school community of Adonai have attended three months of classes and Bible study. At these weekly lessons they not only learn a valuable trade, but they also build relationships with Jesus and with one another! When they graduate they are able to sell items that they have made. The money earned is combined with the $125 given by sponsors from the United States. The women don’t just receive a new sewing machine and women’s devotional Bible, but they also gain dignity, community, and a way to support their families.
We are thrilled that the Threads of Promise program has expanded into the community of Gerona. There are six ladies who have been attending classes and will graduate in June. Our teacher, Oneida, continues to share how these ladies have been blessed by the opportunity and the fellowship.
We are looking for three sponsors who would give $125 each. Your gift, combined with the money they earn from products they make, will allow them to graduate in June. If you would like to sponsor one of these ladies, click the link here to donate online. Choose the fund "Guatemala Orphan Projects" and write "Sewing" and the lady’s name in the comment box.
