Camp Team: Our Weekend Experience

Greetings from the Camp Team! We are so grateful for your thoughts and prayers. After arriving Friday afternoon, we traveled to Gerona to prepare for camp. We were privileged to minister to 90 youth, partnering with 10 leaders from Iglesia Adonai.

At camp, we were able to assist the leaders with workshops, worship, games, and pool time. From swimming with the kids to praying over them throughout the various workshops, we loved watching God move in the hearts of the children. Many children committed to changing their hearts after noting a transformation in their heart. We partnered with leaders to provide opportunities for youth to express their prayer requests using art and writing letters of gratitude to their parents.

We would love your continued prayers for health as we begin work projects at Casita Adonai over the next two days. Please pray for renewed bodies and minds as we work and prepare to travel to Lake Atitlan on Wednesday.

Mission team member's "idea" + Facebook Fundraiser = Jobs in San Nicolas

Our last team to Guatemala was in November of 2019. That seems impossible but it's true. The primary focus of the team was a pediatric medical clinic that was hugely successful. However, that wasn't the only seed that was planted that week in the community of San Nicolas. Wanda King has been going to Guatemala with Caroline's Promise for years. We can always count on her to bring hand sanitizer, goodie bags that she and her sister make for everyone, and lots of love! One of the things I love most about Wanda is that she is willing to step in and do anything that is asked of her. A few weeks before this trip she asked if she could bring a set of hair cutting supplies. I didn't know if there was a need, but I knew that Wanda felt strongly that she should bring them and so I said "of course!" Little did we know the impact that one idea would make.
