New Welding Scholarship Announced

Several years ago God gave me a dream of teaching welding to young adults  in our partner communities in Guatemala.   You may ask "Why welding?" Well, if you know me and my family, it makes sense. I'm the daughter of a welder.  My Dad, Kenneth Best was the son of a welder and both of his brothers are welders.  Through the years he and my Mom built a successful business that my brother, Brian now runs.  He taught me what it means to have a strong work ethic and I watched his business grow, even in the toughest economy, making a way for him to pay for my college education and most of graduate school. Through the years I would see young men in Guatemala search for a job that paid decent money and over and over I saw them struggle.  If only they could learn how to weld. Happy Birthday Delmi! Honor her today

Happy Birthday Delmi! This amazing woman and her husband Carlos lead the ministry in Guatemala that we partner with.  Once you meet her you immediately love her.  She is strong, passionate and giving and she loves us well. Today is her birthday and we invite you to help us honor her by giving to our  Casita Computer Project.   One of Delmi's biggest dreams is to be able to offer middle school grades at Casita Adonai. Her heart is to offer  a safe, loving environment for these kids to learn, keeping them out of the dangerous public schools for a few more years.   In order to offer middle school grades we need to finish construction of the third floor and complete a ton of paperwork.  We are trusting God to provide all we need and in the meantime we are preparing by setting up the school to educate these older students.  One of the first things we need are additional laptops that will benefit all of the students....
