How $25 becomes $75 on #GivingTuesday

On #GivingTuesday (November 28, 2017) YOU can help us raise money to complete the Building of Promise by creating a personal fundraising page on Facebook.

On Tuesday, Facebook will waive the transaction fees for donations made on Facebook Fundraising Pages and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is donating $2 Million that day to charities by matching every dollar given on one of these pages.

The giving starts on Tuesday at 8am EST and will be given until the $2 Million is gone.   We think it will go quickly!

And....to encourage people to give a generous donor is matching any donation made between 8 and 8:30am Tuesday, up to $2500.

 How can you help?

We need 50 people to set up Facebook fundraising pages prior to Tuesday morning and then promote it like crazy, encouraging people to give between 8 and 8:30am.

It's easy!  We've provided all of the instructions here and are ready to help you!  Just call or text Lisa at 336-669-7340.

Let's get started!

Go to this link
Choose “Create a fundraiser for Caroline’s Promise”
Make sure “Caroline’s Promise” is listed in the box – “Who are you raising money for”
“How much money do you want to raise?”  Let’s go big!  Choose $1000
“When should your fundraiser end?”  - Why not keep it going through the end of the year?  12-31-17
Choose “Next”
“What’s the title of your fundraiser?”  Make sure your name and Caroline’s Promise are listed here
“Why are you raising money?”  Please make this personal!  Tell why this project is important to you and how you feel about the ministry of Caroline’s Promise
Choose “Next”
“Pick a cover photo”.  Feel free to use a photo that you have or the fundraising page will automatically default to our CP Facebook Cover Photo.

You should receive a “Congratulations” screen with suggestions on how to share on social media.  Be sure to send.  Click “Get Started” and choose your friends to invite to give.

Remember, the first $2 million donated on facebook beginning at 8am on #GivingTuesday will be matched by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.  But Facebook will waive the 5% fee for any money given on that day, whether it is matched or not.

And...our Caroline's Promise donor will match any donation made between 8 and 8:30 am Tuesday, up to $2500.

Invite your friends on Sunday or Monday and encourage them to come back at 8am Tuesday!
And keep sharing your fundraiser through the end of the year until we reach our goal!
Be sure to share your fundraiser on your facebook often.  Let’s flood Facebook with opportunities to give to this need!
Please let us know if you have questions.  We are here to help!  Call Lisa at 336-669-7340 or text.  We are happy to help you set it up.  Consider setting it up prior to Monday so you will be ready at 8am Tuesday!

Where are they now? Sthefany

Hello, my name is Sthefany.   I am 16 years old and am currently in the 4th year of high school in Biological Sciences.  First of all I want to thank the Groves Family who sponsored me during my primary school period because thanks to them I was able to complete primary school.  I am also very grateful because although I did not meet my sponsors, I appreciated them very much for the support and help they contributed in my life.   It was a great blessing that Caroline's Promise can contribute great things in the life of a person.  The experience I had was totally great. I got to know places thanks to them and they also showed me their love through letters (letters that I still have), gifts and financial aid. I would really like to meet and know how my sponsors are and meet them in person and thank them personally.   And well, I think that these kinds of experiences make you grow as a person in all aspects and how wonderful that those kinds of people exist, s...

Where are they now? Cesy Samayoa

Cesy, translating for Kaitlyn Our friend Cesy was too old to be in our child sponsorship program when we met her, but she definitely benefited from the program because two of her siblings were sponsored consistently.  And we benefited from knowing Cesy!  For years she would translate for our special programs.  I remember speaking to a group of moms years ago and Cesy translated for me.  She stayed for hours after the talk to help me minister to women.  One of those women had concerns about her son who clearly showed signs of ADHD.  Cesy helped me find natural ways to address his inattention and lack of focus and a year later that same Mom shared how Cesy's suggestions had helped! Cesy, we know how hard you have worked and we are incredibly proud of you!  Thank you for being a beautiful example to young women everywhere!
