Celebrate your Birthday by helping families in Guatemala

 


Facebook Birthday Fundraisers are a great way to raise funds for special projects in Guatemala and it’s easy!  A month before your birthday, set up a fundraiser and invite your friends to give.  The great thing about a FB fundraiser is that Facebook covers the administration fees!  You can pick a project that is special to you and we will provide photos and an update of how the money was used.


Follow these easy steps to set up your Birthday fundraiser today!


From your FB page on the left panel choose “Fundrasiers” 

Select Non-Profit (enter Caroline’s Promise if it doesn’t automatically come up) 

Choose Goal

Edit the title of your fundraiser if you like (choose a project below) 

Why are you raising money?  Text is automatic but if you make it personal you will raise more $ 

Choose a different cover photo if you like 

Create


Now it’s time to share your fundraiser. 


Special Projects for Birthday Fundraisers


Emergency Food 

Your donation will allow us to provide food supplies to families who do not have children in our child sponsorship program. 


Emergency Medical Fund 

With Covid-19 cases increasing in Guatemala, there is an urgent need for medical assistance including oxygen, travel expenses, vitamins and medical care. 


Horticulture Projects

Your support allows us to provide starter kits for families to begin gardening projects that allow them to provide much needed food for their families. 


He Thrives 

Your support allows us to provide temporary work for men in the community of San Nicolas who have lost their jobs due to Covid-19. 


She Thrives

Your support allows us to support women as they work and care for their families.  


Senior Adults

Your support allows us to provide needed updates to housing for senior adults in the community of San Nicolas.

Mission team member's "idea" + Facebook Fundraiser = Jobs in San Nicolas

  Our last team to Guatemala was in November of 2019.  That seems impossible but it's true.   The primary focus of the team was a pediatric medical clinic that was hugely successful.  However, that wasn't the only seed that was planted that week in the community of San Nicolas.   Wanda King has been going to Guatemala with Caroline's Promise for years.  We can always count on her to bring hand sanitizer, goodie bags that she and her sister make for everyone, and lots of love!  One of the things I love most about Wanda is that she is willing to step in and do anything that is asked of her.  A few weeks before this trip she asked if she could bring a set of hair cutting supplies.  I didn't know if there was a need, but I knew that Wanda felt strongly that she should bring them and so I said "of course!"  Little did we know the impact that one idea would make.   Wanda spent most of that week teaching our partner, Monica how to cut hair.  We quickly realized that

Melany is a precious child living in one of the most difficult areas of Guatemala City.  She is a  student at our partner school, Casita Adonai.  This new video shows what life is like for Melany and her friends and why they desperately need a new school building.
