  We asked for your help on #Giving Tuesday in November and boy did you come through!  We sent your donations to our partners, Rodrigo & Monica and they purchased Christmas meals & gifts for each family in the community.  We loved getting updates from Rodrigo - especially since he enlisted the help of the kids in the tutoring program to wrap the boxes without knowing that they would be the recipients!  We just  love how Rodrigo and Monica involved the kids and teens in ministry to the community.  Thank you for giving.  We realize that there are a lot of amazing ministries that you can and do support.  We are so grateful that you choose to partner with us!

You helped us reach our Giving Tuesday goal and surpass it! $8775 was given on one of our favorite days of the year! Because of you  250 families  (in addition to those in our child sponsorship program) will receive a Christmas Box.  We believe these gifts will not only provide needed food for our friends but when they are delivered by our partners these families will hopefully know that they are not forgotten.  In addition we were able to raise additional funds that will be used to support our partners,  Rodrigo & Monica.   This family gives so much throughout the year and we are excited to be able to support their work! On #GivingTuesday (November 27, 2018) YOU can help us raise money to bring clean water to the community of Gerona by creating a personal fundraising page on Facebook. We spent time this past year, surveying this community and found that the greatest need is clean water.  We are committed to providing effective and sustainable water filters that will cost $65 per family.  Our goal for #GivingTuesday is $13,000 which will provide filters to 200 families! On Tuesday, Facebook will not only waive the transaction fees for donations made on Facebook Fundraising Pages but together with Pay Pal they will match $7 Million of those donations!   The giving starts on Tuesday at 8am EST (7am Central, 6am Mountain, and 5 am Pacific) and will be given until the $7Million is gone. Thank you for giving to our Building of Promise project.  As you know, this is the third and final floor of a building that benefits the school, church, and community.  The third floor will provide 3 additional classrooms, restrooms, an area for chickens, and and area for horticulture/urban gardening projects.   In addition, there will be a sport court - soccer field on this floor.  We are beyond excited about the doors for ministry that will be opened when this project is complete. Many of you gave to our #GivingTuesday Campaign and we want you to see how your investment is being used.  Completion of the third floor involves 3 stages and the first should be complete by the end of January.  We had to dig deep on the first floor so that columns could be created that will support the weight of the soccer field on the third floor.  In these photos you can see those columns being installed on the first and second floors.  Stairs have also been insta...

When the Building of Promise was first planned we knew that it would have 3 floors.  The vision that God gave us clearly showed 3 levels and it was confirmed over and over when random people in Guatemala who didn't know about the project, told us of their dreams of a 3 story building that God would use to draw the community to Him.  You helped us build the first and second floors which have provided large classrooms, a beautiful library, offices,and a computer lab.  The church and school use this space daily.  Originally we thought that the third floor would be used to offer middle school grades, but after a lot of research, we have determined that the cost involved is not the best use of the resources God has given. I will admit, after several years of envisioning middle school grades in this space, I was a little confused when it became clear that this was not God's plan.  As a team, we began to look at this inner city community and our eyes were open...
