Caroline's Promise News

  Rebecca Baltzer has been a faithful supporter of Caroline’s Promise for years. This year on her birthday she chose to host a Facebook Fundraiser and invited her friends to join her. Together they raised $200 which provided startup seeds and supplies for families in the community of San Nicolas. Rodrigo and his team invited the teens from the community to help prepare the land for the community garden. They were able to plant radish, zucchini and peppers. Thank you Rebecca and friends for making a difference! Dianne Miller loves youth sports. Before retirement she was a Physical Education teacher in Northern Virginia where she still encourages play and physical activity. When she decided to host a Fundraiser for Caroline’s Promise on her birthday, we were thrilled! We knew the exact group that should be helped from the money that she raised.  Before the Covid Pandemic we were blessed to be able to help our friends in Zone 21 start a soccer academy that reached some of the most vulnerable kids in Guatemala City. Dianne was able to raise $500 from her Facebook friends and the students from the fútbol academy received needed food supplies.  It was an easy way for Dianne to support Caroline’s Promise and make a difference in the lives of kids who were so much like the kids she had spent her life investing in.  What about you?   Facebook Birthday Fundraisers are a great way to raise funds for special projects in Guatemala and it’s easy!  A month before your birthday, set up a fundraiser and invite your friends to give.  The great thing about a FB fundraiser is that Facebook covers the administration fees!   You can pick a project that is special to you and we will provide photos and an update of how the money was used. Follow these easy steps to set up your Birthday fundraiser today!
