Several years ago God gave me a dream of teaching welding to young adults  in our partner communities in Guatemala.   You may ask "Why welding?" Well, if you know me and my family, it makes sense. I'm the daughter of a welder.  My Dad, Kenneth Best was the son of a welder and both of his brothers are welders.  Through the years he and my Mom built a successful business that my brother, Brian now runs.  He taught me what it means to have a strong work ethic and I watched his business grow, even in the toughest economy, making a way for him to pay for my college education and most of graduate school. Through the years I would see young men in Guatemala search for a job that paid decent money and over and over I saw them struggle.  If only they could learn how to weld. We have a fantastic retreat planned for our teachers in Guatemala next January.  We realize it's a difficult time for teachers in the states to go on a mission trip, but it's the perfect time for our teachers in Guatemala. We will travel to Guatemala on Wednesday, January 25, spend the day in the classroom with students and teachers on Thursday, and then take them on a retreat Friday - Sunday.  We will return home Monday, January 30. Application and $100 non refundable deposit due by December 1. 

Raising A Promise – Building Campaign (September 1st - December 31 ) Beginning September 1 st , we are s tarting a campaign to raise the funds to complete the third level of Casita Adona i, the school we partner with in Guatemala City. God has been faithful to provide the funds needed to continue the incredible partnership we have in Guatemala. Now, we are trusting that He will provide the remaining $55,000 needed to complete the third floor of the school. By partnering with churches and hosting several fundraising events, we will have enough to finish and provide classes beyond 6 th  grade when the permits are approved, as well as a playground area. The people we partner with do so much for the school and the community, and this extra space will allow for more ways to serve. In order to do this, we are praying that God will provide  55 people to commit to raising $1,000.  We absolutely believe that God can bring in this money, and He wants us to ask. This is ...
