Update From The Interns

This is an update from our interns in Guatemala working with Casita Adonai. They wrote this the week of February 9th, as you'll see when they speak of Valentine's Day in the future.

"This week Grace and I taught "Jesus Loves Me" to all of the students in English! Also, she and I are teaching three different dramas to the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade classes. On Thursday, we are having an after school practice, teaching them facial expressions, stunts, and acting skills! Since this Friday is Valentine's Day, we are providing food, drinks, candies, and pinatas for the children at the school! We are also doing a secret Valentine's exchange among the teachers of Casita!
It is hard to believe Grace and I have already been here for a month, and we only have about a month left! We have already seen and experienced many wonderful things and can not wait to see what the next month has in store for us and the kids!

This past Sunday Grace and I went to Gerona, which is a church plant where Iglesia Adonia has been working for the past two years . We went with multiple young adults and kids from Iglesia Adonia and went to a service with the kids where we sang, danced, and played! One of the kids at Iglesia Adonia brought his toys to give to the younger kids in Gerona. It was awesome to see his giving heart, even though he doesn't have much to give, and the joy on the kids' faces when they received their presents.

Thank you for keeping us in your prayers. We appreciate it!"

Mission team member's "idea" + Facebook Fundraiser = Jobs in San Nicolas

Our last team to Guatemala was in November of 2019.  That seems impossible but it's true.   The primary focus of the team was a pediatric medical clinic that was hugely successful.  However, that wasn't the only seed that was planted that week in the community of San Nicolas.   Wanda King has been going to Guatemala with Caroline's Promise for years.  We can always count on her to bring hand sanitizer, goodie bags that she and her sister make for everyone, and lots of love!  One of the things I love most about Wanda is that she is willing to step in and do anything that is asked of her.  A few weeks before this trip she asked if she could bring a set of hair cutting supplies.  I didn't know if there was a need, but I knew that Wanda felt strongly that she should bring them and so I said "of course!"  Little did we know the impact that one idea would make.   Wanda spent most of that week teaching our partner, Monica how to cut hair.  We quickly realized that
